The Delaware Choral Society enthusiastically welcomes all interested singers to join.   We welcome singers of all ages; our group includes both high school students and retirees, and we draw members from both Delaware and Maryland.  Auditions are required only for solo parts, or for the DCS Chamber Singers, but not for participation in our concerts.  Membership dues are $25.00 per concert season.  Please call  302-422-7775 or e-mail us at delawarechoralsociety@yahoo.com  for more information.   Click here to view our membership handout.

We are going to have a relaxing spring concert season, enjoying medleys from MGM movies, Irving Berlin, Sweeney Todd and James Bond films.  We plan to kick off the spring season with registration and our first rehearsal on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, in the Fellowship Hall of Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover, at 6:00 p.m.  Paper products, sodas, and sandwiches will be provided.  Please bring finger food and dessert items.  This way, those who work all day will have a chance to eat dinner and register.   The first official rehearsal will take place at Wesley on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.  Rehearsals last, with a break, until 9:30 p.m.

 Each concert requires 12-14 weeks of preparation.

Concert dress for men and women is as follows:

Women: standard black dress and jacket.  Dresses are to be four inches off the floor, with comfortable black shoes and black pantyhose.
Men: tuxedo coat and pants with lay-down white tuxedo shirt, bowtie, no cummerbund, black socks and shoes.
