The
Delaware Choral Society
enthusiastically welcomes all interested singers
to join.
We welcome singers of all ages; our
group includes both high school
students and retirees, and we draw members from
both Delaware and Maryland. Auditions are
required only for solo parts, or for the
DCS
Chamber Singers, but not for
participation in our concerts. Membership dues are $25.00 per

rehearsals
We are very excited about our fall concert which
will consist of exquisite Christmas music
composed or arranged by American composters.
We plan to kick off the fall season
with registration and our first rehearsal on
Tuesday, September 7, 2010, in the Fellowship
Hall of Wesley United
Methodist
Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover,
at 6:00 p.m.
Paper products, sodas, and sandwiches
will be provided.
Please bring main dishes, finger food or dessert
items to share.
This way, those who work all day will
have a chance to eat dinner and register.
The first official rehearsal will take place at
Wesley on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
Rehearsals last, with a break, until 9:30 p.m.
Each concert requires 12-14
weeks of preparation.
ALL ARE WELCOME TO

Music is distributed at rehearsals.
Members are asked to mark
music with pencils only and return it after the
last concert performance. IT IS ESSENTIAL
THAT ALL MUSIC BE RETURNED PROMPTLY!!
Members are asked to provide their own black
folders. Members may purchase music if
desired.

Concert
dress for men and women is as follows:
Women: standard black dress and jacket.
Dresses are to be four inches off the
floor, with comfortable black shoes and black
pantyhose.
Men: tuxedo coat and pants with lay-down
white tuxedo shirt, bowtie, no cummerbund, black
socks and shoes.
All concert dress items can be purchased through
Delaware Choral Society
at a cost of approximately $100.00. The loan of
concert attire may be arranged.
